Swans Are Fat Too

Swans Are Fat Too - Michelle Granas This is a wonderful little romance. The main characters are well-developed (those at the periphery are heavily caricatured, though), and the plot is lovely. It takes place in Warsaw, and the city itself as well as the history of Poland are significant characters in the story. So I would say it's much better than your average romance.

The writing style is so simplistic, though, that it almost annoyed me at times -- this isn't literature. But if you're ready for a feel-good story in an unusual setting with loveable characters, pick this one up.
