Gratitude and Trust

Gratitude and Trust - Paul Williams, Tracey Jackson This book is exactly what it claims to be. The authors take the affirmations from AA recovery and hone them and apply them to more general problems. Recovery for people who aren't addicts, but may be trying to solve a problem in their behavior or their life.

It's varied, with some general explanatory text, set-off boxes with general rules, and then some personal examples from the lives of the co-authors, one of whom has gone through this process as an addict, and the other who has used it to solve other issues, such as spending too much on pointless purchases.

They have a break-out chapter on eating too much, since that's a problem many of us have, and also dealing with anger and nasty people in general. It's a pretty good book, and there may be folks that need exactly this. People ready to make a big change in their lives. It's worth a try.

I got this book for free from the first reads program in exchange for an honest review.
