The Small Claim of Bones

The Small Claim of Bones - Cindy Williams GutiƩrrez A wonderful collection. It's divided into two main parts, the first themed with her father and the more native Mexican culture he comes from. It also includes some thoughts on his death. The second is more on her mother's side. It's rich with women and their lives, Sor Juana, Spanish culture. Gutierrez interacts with her cultural past, both distant and immediate (her family), and the result is beautiful and somewhat familiar, even though I don't share her culture.
