The voice in this book alternates between a man in a coma (Will) and his niece (Annie), both telling the story of the last year (to year and a half). A dramatic storyline was set in motion by the disappearance of Annie's sister from their Cree community in northern Canada. I enjoyed both of their voices, and both are great story-tellers. Annie tells of adventures in cities down south (Toronto, Montreal, New York) where she went to look for her sister and came close to losing herself. Her uncle tells of adventures in the north. They are both looking for answers and looking for themselves, and I believe they both find what they are looking for.
Highly recommended to those looking for good all-around story-telling.
